![]() ![]() So that's pretty hype.įor gatherers, this is a big change, and could be really rough. There's all sorts of weird crap that I have to farm myself because there isn't any on the AH, but I know it's readily available on other servers. But what I'm more excited about is the availability of rarer mats. The price of mats will likely go down, and that's nice when I'm the only one on the AH that's making something. I'm on a lower pop server and I mainly craft, so I'm pretty excited. I’m just hoping that Dragonflight finds a way to keep crafting and farming relevant, especially with older works stuff. Extrapolate that over the entire REGION, now it’s going to be far worse. People will be mass undercutting even though its an item that’s going to sell at the same rate regardless of the price. If you’ve ever done much auctioning, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Just think about how many absolute clowns there are on a singular server. Profits are going to be small from either of those now given the new changes that the average Joe won’t really have a proper method to gain gold. They’re doing it either by farming, or by flasks/enchants since those are typically the most reliable markets. It mostly sucks because there’s a lot of older world farms I used to do that likely won’t be affected by the new Dragonflight systems.Īnd for the average player, I don’t think they’re really making their gold by crafting equipment and gear. I’m just hoping there’s a high barrier to entry for a lot of recipes. It’s so hard to actually tell how it’s gonna be at the moment with all of the crafting changes coming in Dragonflight, so we’ll have to see. Of course, this was also discussed heavily on the /woweconomy reddit. There's a lot of information to digest, but well worth a watch. On the flip-side, things are likely to settle as players get used to different methods of making gold. He also discusses Parity and how this change can ruin the economy of individual servers because the flow of money at the base level (farming) is no longer worth the time on these servers and will have a knock-on effect on crafted items. The key things in this video go through the economics of Perfect Competition, how flipping and farming is dead, the possible reason why and how this could take the load off individual servers, how TSM can inflate prices. WTBGold has a lengthy and in-depth video going through his thoughts on the matter and is well worth a watch.
